Analog Clock

- the type that has a face and two hands.

Digital Clock

- the type which displays only numerals: it has no hands.

24 Hour Time

- when time is not told as a.m. or p.m. but continues to have the hours counted in a sequential manner all the way to 24:00.
e.g. 07:15,  10:57,  12:46,  13:34,  16:00 etc.

We can tell the time by three methods

Telling The Time

- Using a clock face (Analog)
- Using a digital read out (12 hours)(Digital)
- Using a 24 hr clock (Digital)

Analog

3 o'clock p.m.

half past 1 p.m.

quarter past 7 p.m.

Digital

3.00 p.m.

1:30 p.m.

7:15 p.m.

24 hr clock

15:00 hrs

13:30 hrs

19:15 hrs

Analog

quarter to 7 a.m.

25 past 8 a.m.

20 past 9 p.m.

Digital

6:45 a.m.

8:25 a.m.

9:20 p.m.

24 hr clock

06:45 hrs

08:25 hrs

21:20 hrs

Analog

5 to 2 p.m.

20 to 7 a.m.

International Date Line(IDL)

Digital

1:55 p.m.

6:40 a.m.

- an imaginary line located at

24 hr clock

13:55 hrs

06:40 hrs

180 degrees at which the time
      difference between the two
      sides is 24 hours
