Area
- is the amount of a surface or the size of a surface. The surface may be flat or curved. It is the measure of the space inside a 2D shape

Mass
- is the amount of matter contained in an object. It is often referred to as weight but this is incorrect as weight takes into account the effects of gravity.

1000 milligrams(mg) = 1 gram(g)
1000 grams                  = 1 kilogram(kg)
1000 kilograms(kg)    = 1 tonne(t)

Mass, volume and capacity are related with one another.

Temperature
- is the measure of how hot or cold something is and is measured on a thermometer. We measure temperature on the Celsius scale of 0 to 100

The symbol for degree Celsius is

Freezing point of water =

Boiling point of water =

Human body temperature =

A warm day =

A very hot day =

Seasons

A year is divided into four seasons of approximately three months each. The diagram below shows the seasonal divisions of the year in the southern hemisphere.
